Leeds United chairman Andrea Radrizzani insists sacking Marcelo Bielsa last sesaon was the right call.

Despite the difficult year which has followed Bielsa's dismissal, Radrizzani insists that the correct decision was made.

"The fans continue to blame Bielsa's dismissal in my face. It was a very difficult decision, but it was the right thing to do. Psychologically and physically, the team was no longer capable of following him and he is one of those who ask a lot," he revealed in an interview with DAZN.

"We were in a whirlwind. I made that decision against my wishes and knowing that I would go against all the Leeds fans, who in fact still hold it against me today.

"Very difficult, but it was the right thing."
