Leeds boss Marsch offers positive Bamford update after emotional substitution

Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford was in tears after being forced off during victory at Wolves.

Bamford limped off the pitch midway through the first-half with an ankle injury, after chasing down a loose ball, and was reduced to tears in the dugout alongside his teammates.

It was clearly an emotional moment for Bamford, who covered his face with his t-shirt after taking a seat on the bench, having just returned from a hamstring injury.

The Leeds forward had looked lively in the opening quarter of an hour at the Molineux, showing some neat touches in his play.

Leeds boss Jesse Marsch later said: "Bamford is not too bad. Planatar fasciitis just been sensitive over the last couple of weeks. Very disappointed and the reaction can look bad, but I don't think it is. Just disappointed to come off."
