Leeds boss Bielsa mocks pundits: It's all too complex for them

Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa has mocked English football's pundits over their criticism of his style of play.

Bielsa says those who shout the loudest and make the most sensational claims about his football are the least worth listening to,

The Argentine was responding to reaction of their 6-2 defeat at Manchester United last Sunday.

He declared, "I don't worry about the objectives of the press's questions. If I did, I wouldn't be able to manage. When you suggested the players should suggest to the coach he should change his style, that's not the problem because I always have to convince and overcome obstacles to convince.

"What worries me about the press is the effect it has on the public. All these explanations are for the public to hear. I know I lose in this battle. I know the public need a simple explanation and mine is complex. It takes me a whole day to reach these conclusions and ensure I am not saying the wrong thing.

"I don't have the intention they will be valued or heard, but there is a conduct when you face these kinds of things. Defeats and victories are not how conclusions come about. If someone analyse the conclusions from a victory to a defeat it would be embarrassing for those with an opinion, how they can change their opinion in such a short period of time. Of course, I don't generalise because there are many valuable opinions in the press, which are the less listened to, of course, because they contain analysis."
