Leeds United boss Marcelo Biels has helped former club Olympique Marseille land their new coach.

After the dismissal of Andre Villas-Boas last month, OM named Jorge Sampaoli as new head coach on Friday.

Sampaoli is leaving Atletico Mineiro to return to Europe and take charge of OM.

And Telefoot says the decision was only made after Sampaoli sought advice from Bielsa about OM and French football.

The Argentine offered a positive appraisal, so helping convince Sampaoli about the move.
