Leeds boss Bielsa happy Llorente fully fit; waiting for Berardi, Forshaw

Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa insists Diego Llorente is in his first team plans.

The summer arrival made an appearance for the U23s last week after recovering from injury.

Ahead of their clash with Newcastle United, Bielsa said: "The minutes with the 23s was an aspect that was missing so that he could return with us.

"Llorente has the characteristics of a strong defender.

"He is a player who is happy recovering the ball and he's the player who has physical attributes which can help in the aerial game and the physical dual on the ground."

Meanwhile, on the injury situations of Gaetano Berari and Adam Forshaw, the manager added: "Berardi will start to train with the group shortly. Whilst he had a serious knee injury which kept him out for a long time, many players have had this injury in the past and they have come back to play.

"The problem with Forshaw is a little longer. He hasn't played for over a year now and the medical decisions taken recently make us think that he will play again in the not-too-distant future. Forshaw is a professional who looks after his health very much. That's why I think as soon as these injury problems are resolved he will be able to compete very quickly."
