Leeds battle Norwich for Southampton keeper Gunn

Leeds United are battling Norwich City for Southampton goalkeeper Angus Gunn.

Football Insider says Leeds are plotting to hijack a £5 million transfer which will see Gunn return to Norwich City from Southampton.

Son of former Canaries 'keeper Bryan Gunn, Angus grew up at Norwich's academy before leaving for Manchester City as a teenager.

He has since enjoyed spells back at Carrow Road, but only on loan.

Now, Norwich are looking to tempt him back to Norfolk, but not if Leeds have anything to do with it.

Gunn is being targeted to provide competition for Illan Meslier. The Saints goalkeeper is four years Meslier's senior, but is also relatively inexperienced in Premier League terms.
