Leeds attacker Roberts admits players discussing Europe target

Leeds United attacker Tyler Roberts admits the players have discussed going for Europe this new season.

The forward made 27 league appearances under Marcelo Bielsa last season, finding form in the latter stages and scoring his first Premier League goal against Southampton in May.

Roberts told LUTV: “All of the boys will agree we've got to push for some European spaces. I don't think we're ever going to be a type of team that looks back and says 'we did well to get where we were, but will this season be a bit different?'

"We just look up and push for better than we're doing."

Leeds have not competed in European competition since the 2002/03 season when they were eliminated in the third round of the UEFA Cup by Malaga.
