Leeds, Arsenal target Doig: Transfer talk just crazy

Hibs fullback Josh Doig is staying grounded over Premier League transfer talk.

Doig is celebrating being awarded the Scottish Football Writers Young Player of the Year award amid ongoing transfer links with a number of Premier League sides.

Leeds United are one of several reported suitors for the highly-rated 18-year-old, who has also been linked with the likes of Leicester City, Manchester City, Arsenal plus the Old Firm clubs.

"It's crazy to be linked with those clubs. I've grown up watching them so for any of them to show an interest is amazing," he told the Daily Record.

"Whatever happens, happens. But as long as I'm playing football, whether it's here, Barcelona or Queen's Park – that's all I want.

"I absolutely adore being at Hibs. In my first season, how I've been treated by the players and staff, it's like nowhere else I've experienced in my life. It's so good here.

"I want to keep working hard and give everything I've got to the club. I'm happy and that's all that matters.
