Leeds and RB Leipzig reach agreement for USMNT star Adams

United States midfielder Tyler Adams has agreed to sign for Leeds United in the Premier League.

The American is set to leave RB Leipzig in a deal that is worth around €23 million with add-ons included.

The 23-year-old is departing the Bundesliga to further his career, with ESPN stating that he will fly to Leeds in the next 48 hours to complete his medical and sign the contract.

Adams is a key target for Leeds boss Jesse Marsch, as the two worked together at New York Red Bulls and Leipzig.

He is the replacement for new Manchester City signing Kalvin Phillips, who left Leeds this summer.

Leeds also signed American forward Brenden Aaronson from FC Salzburg earlier this summer.
