Leeds ahead of Wolves for Carlisle teen Liam McCarron

Leeds United are confident they can beat Wolverhampton Wanderers to the signing of Carlisle's Liam McCarron.

The Premier League club had been considered to be leading the pack, but that appears to have changed over the weekend, says the Daily Star.

The Whites are yet to sign anyone this summer, having raided several top-flight sides last year for their youngsters on loan deals.

18-year-old McCarron could be Leeds' first signing of the summer for £250k.

McCarron regularly appeared off the bench for Carlisle this season, starting just four times in his 20 appearances.

But he has clearly shown his potential to scouts across the country, with not only Leeds reportedly interested.
