Manchester City midfielder Jack Harrison admits he stays in touch with Chelsea boss Frank Lampard.

The new Chelsea manager, who starred alongside Harrison for New York City FC, has taken real interest in the youngster's career and they remain close.

"I feel like I can talk to Frank about anything," Harrison, now back on-loan with Leeds United, told the Daily Mail. "I've had a really special relationship with him. A special bond. People come and go in this game, lose contact, but with him it's something more than that. He's been an idol for me.

"It's weird. I have to step outside the box every now and then to think about it. He gives me answers that help massively. I reached out to David (Villa) last year too. He got me in the right mindset. Talking to him about scoring is ideal, isn't it?"
