Lecce coach Eusebio Di Francesco admits Zeman influence

New Lecce coach Eusebio Di Francesco admits his tactics are greatly influenced by Zdenek Zeman.

The former Roma player worked with Zeman, famous for his all-attack strategy and chain-smoking on the touchline.

"I will not change my tactical approach, as even in Serie A I will aim to attack and take the initiative," Di Francesco told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

"I will field a four-man defence and three in midfield, but then I could adopt a trequartista and two strikers rather than a 4-3-3.

"Zeman's 4-3-3 cannot be bettered, as in terms of attacking football he is beyond reach. I learned so much from Zeman, such as sporting fairness and the culture of using action rather than words.

"I was fortunate enough to work with the likes of Fabio Capello, Gigi Cagni and Luciano Spalletti too. I 'stole' secrets from those Coaches and now put my own twist on things."
