League Two clubs to hold emergency meeting today

League Two clubs are set to hold an emergency meeting on Monday over whether or not to end their season now.

The Sun says the 24 sides will take part in a video conference call with the outcome having the potential to have huge repercussions.

If a large number of the teams do call for an immediate end to the campaign then a vote will likely follow.

A growing number are questioning the wisdom of attempting to finish the 2019-20 season.

Chiefs fear they will not have enough funds to go ahead with a restart following the lockdown with the cost of playing behind closed doors too much with no revenue coming in.

The PFA want a blanket deal on contract extensions, meaning clubs would not be able to pick and choose what players to keep for the extra games.
