Le Tissier: Not many teams will fancy playing ‘incredible’ Leicester

Matt Le Tissier is expecting Leicester City to cause plenty of problems in the Champions League this season.

The Foxes defeated Club Brugge 3-0 in their first ever foray into European competition on Wednesday night and following an impressive performance, Sky Sports pundit Le Tissier has backed them to top Group G.

"Leicester will cause problems to any team in the Champions League," the Southampton legend said on Sky.

"The way they go about their business, I don't think there are too many teams out there who Leicester won't fancy their chances of giving a game, and I really believe that.

"When you looked at the group first off, you thought 'they've got a chance here' and after watching them tonight, they could top this group.

"It was absolutely incredible. After the chance that Brugge missed in the first couple of minutes, Leicester completely dominated that football match.

"They wiped the floor with Brugge in the end with their constant pressing and Brugge made some basic errors at the back. They kept trying to play out from the back and gave the ball away too cheaply."

Leicester, who were served by an early goal from Marc Albrighton and a double from Riyad Mahrez, also come up against Danish champions FC Copenhagen and Portuguese powerhouse Porto in Group G.
