Lazio president Claudio Lotito has spoken of his bust-up with Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa.

Bielsa lasted just two days as Lazio boss during the summer of 2016.

“I kicked Bielsa out," Lotito told LaLazioSiamoNoi.it.

“When I was in France, [sporting director Igli] Tare called me and told me that he'd bought some players that the Coach wanted.

“Three minutes later, they were no good anymore. I returned to Formello and called the Coach with Tare and start a situation of a certain type.

“Tare spoke to him. He replied as if he were a scientist. At one point I was so sorry for Igli, picked up the phone: 'Look Mr, you have to go.' Tare was pale."
