Lazio president Claudio Lotito is furious over the price Salernitana were sold on December 31.
Lotito moved Salernitana into a blind trust to find a new buyer after their promotion to adhere to Italian rules that no two clubs in the same division can have the same owner.
The trust sold the club for €10m to Danilo Iervolino - with Lotito fuming as he was seeking €70m. Lotito had invested over €40m into Salernitana helping them climb back up the Italian football pyramid.
Corriere della Sera says the trustees in charge of the sale turned down more substantial proposals, including one from a Swiss trust fund, as they wanted guarantees of financial stability.
Now ANSA is reporting the Swiss fund is ready to take legal action and protest they had offered more than Iervolino.
