Lazio midfielder Lucas Leiva has been reunited with former Liverpool physio Ruben Pons.

Pons cut all ties with Liverpool in July, reports Radio Sei, and the former Reds midfielder has moved quickly to hire him.

Lucas has invited Pons to Rome and worked with the Spaniard this week.

The midfielder is taking Pons on as a personal trainer to help him prepare for Lazio's busy campaign this season.

Lucas is now in his second season at Lazio.
