Lazio midfielder Lucas Leiva says coach Maurizio Sarri has made a positive impact in preseason.
Lazio are training at Auronzo di Cadore under their new coach Maurizio Sarri.
“There's a good atmosphere, there's a lot to do with a new coach. Our group has always been humble and we are doing well," Lucas Leiva said at a press conference.
“It's too early to judge, but with humility, we want to learn the tactical dictates of the coach. I had a few physical problems last year. I missed the pre-season due to knee surgery, but now I'm definitely feeling ok. Last year was difficult, but I have recovered and I want to help my teammates.
“We still need to learn how to work as a team, but I think we have the right characteristics to do well, we will improve and we can make great things.
“We need to adapt to the coach's demands and see where we can get, I think we are working in the right way and I hope I can help the team."
