Lazio medical chief Ivo Pulcini insists fears over the resumption of football following the coronavirus suspension are "totally exaggerated".

Lazio have been pushing hard for Serie A resume.

“I am absolutely in favour of resuming the season, especially after I examined the players," Pulcini told Sport Mediaset.

“I found them enthusiastic and professional. It's entirely plausible to isolate the squads during the next few weeks, although perhaps not for all clubs.

“It's totally exaggerated. If a team is tested, sticks to the rules and moves in a clean environment, what are we even talking about? Why should we consider perfectly healthy people to be ill?"
