Lazio are launching a bid for Chelsea fullback Davide Zappacosta.

Il Messaggero says Lazio want to set up a six month loan arrangement with a permanent option for June.

The Romans would be willing to part with €10-12m to sign Zappacosta outright.

The only stumbling block would be the player's current salary of €2.2m.

However, there's a confidence inside Lazio that Zappacosta would be willing to take a pay-cut to see the move happen.
