Pepe Reina is proud of his ties with Liverpool.

The Spaniard is still going strong at the age of 39 for Lazio in Serie A and was recently named the best goalkeeper in the Italian top-flight for the 2020/21 season.

Despite impressing at his current club, Reina has revealed Liverpool is where he enjoyed his best days as a player.

“I felt fulfilled at Liverpool; it was my best footballing moment. It's the club that has represented me the most," he said.

“I have been good everywhere. In every city, I have been treated with great affection. In every place, they have left the doors open for me."
