Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi insists they deserve to be in the Coppa Italia final after Wednesday night's 1-0 semifinal defeat of AC Milan.

Joaquin Correa proved the difference for Lazio with the aggregate score locked at 0-0 going into the second-leg.

Inzaghi said, “We achieved something marvellous that the lads earned twice on the San Siro turf.

“We fully deserved qualification, but now must focus on Serie A building up to the Final in our stadium. We could've taken the lead earlier, but Pepe Reina did very well in goal.

“I don't think Thomas Strakosha had a single save to make. I want to praise these lads, who have immense heart. We left the disappointment of the Chievo result behind us and came here with great character."
