Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi admits he's in contact with Watford striker Mauro Zarate.

Zarate is currently on loan at Velez Sarsfield from Watford, having until January been on loan with Al-Nasr. He has stated a wish to return to Lazio.

Inzaghi said, “We do speak on the phone and with text messages. I was in London to visit my son and met Mauro in a restaurant, so we got chatting about old times.

"When he talks about Lazio, his eyes light up."
