Lazio coach Inzaghi delighted with thumping win over Sampdoria

Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi was delighted with their rout of Sampdoria.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Stefan de Vrij and Ciro Immobile (2) struck in the 4-0 rout.

"The lads did so well and it wasn't easy, as Samp have some excellent players," Inzaghi told Mediaset Premium.

“We had the right attitude from the start, despite losing Marco Parolo so early to injury. Felipe Anderson did very well and I am very happy with Luis Nani, as he helped the team and provided an assist in those 10 minutes.

“Now there are four tough games ahead, we have won two very important fixtures against Fiorentina and Sampdoria, but now must focus on Torino.

“We're not in the top four as a fluke, we earned this opportunity on the field. Roma and Inter are also going strong, but we'll fight to the end and hope to leave one of them behind us.

“We'll give our heart and soul to make it."

Inzaghi was also asked about AC Milan rumours.

He added: “I am happy here, I'm very proud, have a contract for another two years and want to stay here for a long time yet."
