Lazio sporting director Igli Tare says their rise up the table is thanks to a patient approach to team building.

Lazio are a point behind Juventus at the top of the table.

"I think, and experience has taught me, that time and patience is needed to implement a strong technical project," said Tare.

“History has shown us over the years that some players arrived to some scepticism and then became important."

Tare was also asked about the prospect of selling Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

He added: “I have a player in mind, but I'll never say his name. I'd rather kill myself."
