Lazio chief Igli Tare insists coach Simone Inzaghi will sign a new contract.

Tare was speaking before Lazio's 5-2 defeat to Napoli last night.

He said before kickoff: “We already said, when Inzaghi returns he will sign his contract. He is a very vivacious, energetic person, so self-isolating at home he feels like a caged lion. We speak daily and he is working well from home."

On the Super League fiasco, Tare also stated: “It was a shocking and chaotic week. Football belongs to the people, it is passion. All this must never be lost, but fortunately things got back into shape quickly. Some important considerations must be made on the future of world football and we need clarity."
