Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi admitted some relief after victory over Sassuolo.
Felipe Caicedo came off the bench to win the game for the Biancocelesti, as they edged the contest 2-1.
"It is an important victory, the only regret is that it didn't come sooner," said Inzaghi.
"We played very well in the first half, but we were not clinical enough in front of goal, and we conceeded a goal that was a photocopy almost of the goal against Lecce. We cannot afford to let this happen, because when games get tough, we struggle to score."
He added: "We have only played 13 games, it is far too soon to make judgements."
