Lazio ace Ciro Immobile is proud to have finished last season with the Golden Boot.

Immobile feels the award carries extra weight with no Ballon d'Or.

"Look at the list of winners. Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo alternate, and the only one who got in their way was Luis Suarez in 2016, another champion," Immobile told France Football.

“Seeing my name by their side is just amazing.

“Without the Ballon d'Or this year, the Golden Shoe has more value. Although they are two different awards, one depends on collective votes and trophies, the other exclusively on statistics.
