Tottenham will assess Toby Alderweireld on Friday before deciding whether he is fit enough to feature in this weekend's Premier League clash against Swansea.

The Belgium international has not played for Spurs since injuring his knee in October's 1-1 draw against West Brom.

Boss Mauricio Pochettino said: "Toby Alderweireld has been training with the team this week. We need to assess him tomorrow to see if he's ready or not."
