Last minute strike gives Rangers Old Firm victory

Rangers opened up a ten point lead at the top of the SPL after a 1-0 win over Celtic at Ibrox. Maurice Edu's injury-time winner gave Rangers the three points.

The American forced the ball home from close range after Artur Boruc spilled a Madjid Bougherra shot and Kris Boyd failed to convert the rebound.

Celtic skipper Scott Brown had been controversially red-carded after 66 minutes following a clash with Kyle Lafferty before Edu scrambled home the winner.

Robbie Keane could have given the visitor's the lead within the first minute but Allan McGregor was equal to the Republic of Ireland international's shot.

The Gers not only have a substantial points lead over their city rivals but also have a game in hand.
