Newcastle captain Jamaal Lascelles says it's obvious the club is now on the march.

After the club signed stars like Bruno Guimaraes and Kieran Trippier, Lascelles feels the Magpies are heading in the right direction.

Lascelles told Chronicle Live: "100%. People might just say we are throwing money about but I think we have been spot on the way we have done it.

"We have not just gone out and made crazy signings or super signings. We have picked up good people and good leaders.

"So all these little factors have got us where we are. So I think we've got it right."
