Las Palmas president leaves Swansea midfielder Roque Mesa to Sevilla

Sevilla are closing on a deal for Swansea City midfielder Roque Mesa.

Mesa's move to Sevilla is now imminent after Las Palmas president Miguel Angel Ramirez revealed that the midfielder's former club would not stand in his way.

"We aren't going to force him nor are we going to make things difficult for him," Ramirez explained to MARCA.

"If Roque came to me and said 'It's the best option for me because they play in Europe', I would understand, we would never want to make things difficult for him.

"Las Palmas had an option to buy, that's it."

"Why am I going to be the bad guy? Nor Sevilla either, it has nothing to do with Vitolo, I have this option to buy and I can do it for a player we want and we can pay the fee, this possibility exists, but nothing more."
