Manchester City star Aymeric Laporte says they are not motivated more by their UEFA Champions League ban.
The club are not going to play in the next two editions of the competition because of a ban related to the breach of Financial Fair Play Rules.
And Laporte suggests that while players are disappointed at the news, they were already very motivated to try and win the club's first ever European Cup.
"We are professionals, a big team with big personalities in the dressing room, and I think we just think about football, nothing else," Laporte told reporters after their 2-0 win over West Ham United in the Premier League.
"We are professionals and have to do our job. That's all."
He went on to say: "We don't need more motivation for anything.
"Every game is tough and we have to be focused.
"The Champions League is important for us and we want the best campaign we can do."
