Barcelona president Joan Laporta insists their market plans are not over.

Laporta has so far overseen the arrivals of Eric Garcia, Sergio Aguero, Memphis Depay and Emerson Royal.

He said, “I think the change in the cycle that I had in mind in May is possible. We have encountered some important obstacles but we have time, I am optimistic, with the additions we have made, with what comes up from the academy, it is becoming a very competitive team.

"In the midfield we could see an exciting first preseason game in terms of the talent we have and some more incorporation has to be made, it is still possible."
