Barcelona president Joan Laporta says the club remains owned by the members while he's in charge.
Laporta presided over the 'Festa de Penyes' held on Sunday morning before the Joan Gamper Trophy.
The head of FC Barcelona addressed the supporters and made several statements, including one on the possibility of Barça becoming a SAD.
"I assume the commitment that, while I have the honour of being the president of Barça, our club will always belong to its members," said Laporta.
With the economic problems of the last few years, there was fear among the Barça supporters that such a conversion will happen.
"Those who predicted bad omens, we did not listen to them. The Barça brand is once again very powerful, as we have seen on the tour. The sports department are doing a great job, I ask for a standing ovation for Mateu Alemany and Jordi Cruyff," added the president, who himself received a standing ovation from the crowd.
