Frank Lampard will hold a meeting with his players this week in order to emphasise what it means to play for Chelsea.
The 41-year-old is one of the club's most successful players, having won 13 trophies in 13 seasons with the Blues.
Now in charge as manager, Lampard wants to drill into his players the amount of effort and dedication he wants to see over preseason, according to The Sun.
Lampard will enjoy his first match on Wednesday against Bohemians.
N'Golo Kante linked up with his teammates in Ireland on Monday. Olivier Giroud, Ross Barkley and Kepa Arrizabalaga are expected to arrive on Tuesday.
