Derby County are close to appointing Frank Lampard as their new manager, according to the Sky Sports.
The Chelsea icon is expected to start his career as a manager at Pride Park, although they are still to agree upon all the contract clauses.
The Rams have been looking for a replacement for Gary Rowett since he took over the charge at Stoke City last week.
Derby finished the Championship campaign in sixth-place and lost the playoff promotion semi-finals to eventual winners Fulham.
Lampard's assistant at Derby could be Jody Morris, the FA Youth Cup winner with Chelsea Under18s.
