Star midfielder Frank Lampard is still two weeks away from a Chelsea return.
The England international has been out since late August following a hernia operation but has missed much more than the initial two weeks he was expected to be out for.
Blues manager Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that Lampard will not play in the Champions League clash with Marseille tonight and may only return to the squad after the international break which takes place next weekend.
"Frank cannot play tomorrow," Ancelotti said.
"We need to have more time than we expected for his rest. He will be ready for the next game after the international break.
"He has not played for us so he will not be able to play for the national team."
