A change of manager at Chelsea does not affect Lampard's attitude and he wants to stay at Stamford Bridge for the last two years of his contract.
He told the Daily Star: "I hate players who blame the manager or the board, we should just play for the manager and get on with it.
"I have always done that and it works for me. I would never come out and say 'why isn't this fella picking me?'."
He then turned his attentions back to Scholes.
"I didn't get anywhere near him as an 18-year-old," he said. "His passing, vision and arrival into the box was amazing.
"I find it refreshing that he has never hunted the spotlight. I respect that he wants to go out at the top and he will go down as an all-time great."
