Chelsea may well be able to sign players in January after having their Fifa transfer ban reduced following an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport but boss Frank Lampard was coy on whether he will now make signings in January.

"I'm not going to go down too many lines on that now," he said. "We will see where we are.

"In terms of the bigger picture, it is constantly fluid. If there is a chance to strengthen it, then we will look at it.

"The one thing I felt when you come into a club is that sometimes the players you bring in are key to that. Going forward, it is something that I will bring to the club. It will be a challenge and hopefully we will get it right."
