Chelsea have dropped Carlo Cudicini from Frank Lampard's backroom staff.

Former Blues goalkeeper Cudicini was one of former head coach Maurizio Sarri's assistants.

He was informed on Monday that will not be on Lampard's staff for the new season.

The Telegraph says the 45-year-old is in talks with the club over a return to an ambassadorial role or another job.

Cudicini's long-term contract makes it easier for the club to re-assign him to another role.
