Lampard and Hiddink to be part of Conte Chelsea era

Frank Lampard and Guus Hiddink could have roles with Chelsea next season.

The Daily Express says the New York City FC star could return, while Hiddink could stay on to coach youngsters.

John Terry was offered a one-year extension by Chelsea earlier this week despite being 35 and could be joined by the old guard in Lampard and the current interim boss.

Hiddink believes Lampard would be excited and would want to return to the club.

"I can see that," he said. "He was recently here when having treatment for his injury and he modestly asked if he could be treated by our physios.

"I said yes, course. He was a legend asking me and he wanted to be out of hours, when the boys were either not here or gone.

"I said, no, no. You are one of this family and we would love you to come when everyone is here.

"The youngsters loved it. They can learn a lot from him and can accelerate their careers by having an eye on someone big like Lampard."
