Erik Lamela has revealed his plans to one day return to Argentine powerhouse River Plate.
The 24-year-old winger started his career with the Buenos Aires giants before moving to Italian club AS Roma in 2011 and then onto Spurs in the summer of 2013.
Lamela is contracted with Spurs for two more years but has suggested that he plans to make Argentina's Copa America squad before playing in the Champions League with Spurs next season before further pondering a possible comeback for River.
"Honestly, I feel comfortable in Tottenham, I'd like to stay one more year here, we're going to play the Champions League," Lamela told TyCSports.com.
"I hope to play the Copa America, for sure.
"I grew up in River Plate since I was seven. I'd like to go back, although I'm aware it will be in the future."
