Erik Lamela is seeking an increase in wages from Tottenham Hotspur.

The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Argentine is eager to sign a new long-term deal with Spurs but only if they double his salary to £120,000 per week.

It is understood that Lamela, 24, wants a three-year extension on top of his existing deal which expires in the summer of 2020.

Lamela wants to follow Christian Eriksen and Jan Vertonghen in signing new lucrative deals with the North London club after forcing his way into Mauricio Pochettino's first team over the past 12 months.
