There was no giant killing in the FA Cup at Wembley Stadium in midweek, with Tottenham easing past Newport County in the fourth round.
Spurs have now booked a place in the fifth round of the competition, and they have their Argentine winger Eric Lamela to thank.
Lamela put in an excellent performance in the game, and it was capped by a goal in the 34th minute. It got Spurs the 2-0 cushion they wanted, and they cruised home from there.
While Newport were able to keep the score respectable, they never got close to threatening Spurs in the game, and the victory was never in doubt for the home side.
Spurs will be moving on from the game and thinking about the North London derby, which is their next Premier League clash.
