Former PSG goalkeeper Bernard Lama has had his say on Real Madrid's Alphonse Areola.

Areola is on-loan at Real this season from PSG.

Lama told Culture PSG, "Areola? He has more athletic potential than Keylor Navas but he has less experience.

"A goalkeeper must be able to mature, but he must be able to play quietly too. In recent years, at PSG, the situation has never been clear. Because of the players, too. Because when you are a starter, it's up to you to impose yourself.

"I think that Alphonse lost his place at PSG because he did not do the right thing to win, while he was expected to hold his place. Even if there was (Gigi) Buffon..."
