Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has revealed that manager Jurgen Klopp's magic words at half-time inspired the Reds to their 4-3 win over Arsenal on Sunday.

The Reds had been the second best in the first half of the game but came out all guns blazing in the second half and scored three goals in the first 18 minutes of the half after Philippe Coutinho's sublime free-kick just before half-time.

Goalscorer Lallana told Sky Sports of the fightback: "It was very entertaining.

"We started the game not so brightly after we thought we had quite a good preseason.

"But it's always difficult coming to Arsenal.

"On the stroke of half-time there was a little bit of magic which gave us a little bit of a lift.

"The manager had a few words for us at half-time and we came out brilliantly.

"Football being football, maybe we got a bit complacent at 4-1 but we saw it out in the end."
