Southampton captain Adam Lallana admits they blew a great chance of winning the FA Cup this season.

Saints were bundled out by Sunderland on Saturday.

With so many of the Premier League's top clubs having been eliminated from the competition already, a visibly frustrated Lallana agreed that Saints had potentially given up a real opportunity of success.

He said: "Of course. Anyone that knows football, you've got to just look at the ties and look at the chance we had - a couple of Championship teams left in it."
