LaLiga president Javier Tebes has slammed Josep Maria Bartomeu after his resignation from Barcelona.

Bartomeu stepped down as Barca president yesterday by announcing an agreement to join the FIFA-backed European Super League.

Tebas was furious with the development and snapped: "Unfortunately, Bartomeu announced on the last day the participation in a phantom competition that would be the ruin of Barça.

"He ratifies his ignorance in the football industry. A sad end of a president who had successes and lately errors."

Tebas opposes the formation of this competition that could directly clash with the current Champions League and with the schedule of national leagues.
