LaLiga president Javier Tebas says he's happy Barcelona kept hold of Lionel Messi this season.

However, he insists the LaLiga is bigger than the Argentine.

Messi submitted a transfer request over the summer before withdrawing it.

"In the crisis period of Messi with Barcelona, we sealed a TV deal with Latin America and they didn't mention it," said Tebas.

"I prefer that he stays but it's not a question of life or death."
